PSE To Offer Credit To Powerless Customers

Puget Sound Energy customers without power for five or more days may be eligible for a $50 credit on their next bill.

As of Monday morning, Jan. 23, more than 1,000 Bonney Lake and Sumner Puget Sound Energy customers remained without power and might not see relief until late tomorrow or Wednesday.

PSE may offer a small consolation to those who have been without power for an extended period of time, reported the Associated Press.

The utility will add a $50 credit to the power bills of customers who have been without power for five full days or more. Call PSE customer service (1-888-225-5773) to see if you qualify.

PSE crews have worked around the clock since the outages began last week. The utility enlisted the help of other crews that traveled from neighboring states and Canada, such as a group of contractors from British Columbia who worked to restore power along SE Jones Road on Sunday.

Don't forget if you lost cable/internet to contact Xfinity or whoever your carrier is and request (demand) a credit for the days lost. They may balk or try to shift blame to PSE but ultimately they failed to deliver the service and chances are won't automatically give you a credit for the time lost.
