Today in Bonney Lake-Sumner: Learn English, and Discuss 'The Kite Runner'
The Sumner and Bonney Lake libraries have these events lined up for today, Thursday, August 15.
Tiempo de Conversacion (Talk Time) is an opportunity for adults to learn to speak English in an informal and fun environment. The meeting at the Sumner Library occurs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and is sponsored by The Friends of the Sumner Library.
This evening, the Books on Tapps discussion group at the Bonney Lake library takes on 'The Kite Runner' by Khaled Hosseini. Described by the library: "The unlikely friendship of a wealthy Afghan youth and a servant's son spans the final days of Afghanistan's monarchy through the atrocities of the present day."
The discussion in Bonney Lake commences at 7 p.m. and is sponsored by The Friends of the Bonney Lake Library.
