It amazes me how many businesses I see out there on the web who don't hire professional photographers to take photographs for them. With the ease of digital photography, iPhones, and more - I get it. It’s at your finger tips and easy for you to capture something within seconds and post it on your Facebook, Twitter or your business web site. But just because it is fast, easy and free - doesn't mean you should do it for ALL your print media.
Professions that should consider a professional photographer can be anyone who deals with the public. From a real estate agent looking to get fab photos of a home listing, a baker of goods, an Etsy child’s clothing manufacture, a rocking hair stylist wanting to show off their skills, or even a general contractor. Basically if you sell to the public - I mean YOU.
Last summer I did a shoot for the General Contracting and home remodel company TLC Handy Solutions. These images are now used on their website, business cards, business fliers, and social media pages. The one thing the company hears from public, 8 times out of 10 is..... "I went to your website and really love what I see. I decided to give you a call over others based on that appearance." There you have it! Professional photo + professional media = business. Can't beat that - right???
