Tehaleh is a 4,200-acre community in unincorporated Pierce County, Washington that opened in September 2012.  It is currently the top selling new home community in the Puget Sound. Tehaleh features The Post, a state-of-the art welcome center, along with 7.5 miles of trails and six parks offering a mix of natural settings, play and picnic areas, open space and Mount Rainier views. Upon completion, Tehaleh is planned to have approximately 5,900 homes, a 419 acre employment center, and 3.9 million square feet of commercial/retail. The name “Tehaleh” was created to represent this unique Northwest community. The name is derived from words that mean “highlands” or “the land above” reflecting its location on the plateau and is inspired by the culture and heritage of the region.
