Cascade Regional Blood Services recognized the Bonney Lake branch of Columbia Bank and Bonney Lake Lions Club for their longstanding sponsorship and commitment to the community blood drive held at Columbia Bank. The two organizations partnered to sponsor blood drives in March 2007. Since then, more than 4,300 donors have registered to donate blood at Columbia Bank in Bonney Lake.
Thanks to the committed donors in the Bonney Lake area, the program has grown into a weekly blood drive event.
“We rely upon community sponsors, like Columbia Bank and the Bonney Lake Lions Club, and volunteer blood donors to keep a constant and safe supply of blood and blood products for the hospitals we serve,” said Christine Swinehart, CRBS president/CEO.
Cascade Regional Blood Services has served the residents of East Pierce County for more than 65 years as a not-for-profit community resource linking blood donors with patients in need of blood and blood products.
