Classic Car Show Returning To Sprinker Recreation Center On Sept. 24

The county expects more than 500 cars and trucks in the show.

Stroll through rows of hundreds of the region's best vintage vehicles when Pierce County Parks and Recreation holds its Ninth Annual Northwest Cars and Trucks Magazine's Classic Car Show at Sprinker Recreation Center.

Hours for the free spectator event are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 500 classic cars and trucks are anticipated to be on display.

The theme this year is "roadster rumble" and everyone from staff, spectators and participants are invited to join in the festivities.

"We'll have a great day in the park with family and friends in spite of the weather," said Becca Boyle, event coordinator of Sprinker Recreation Center, in a news release. "Everyone is welcome, so join us, rain or shine."

Sprinker's General Manager Kyle Wintermute will return as this year's DJ and announcer. There will be additional car related vendors, an espresso cart on site, prize giveaways, and much more.

To enter your classic car or truck (pre-1980 model) in the show, pre-register byΒ Monday for $15. Registration the day of the event is $20. To register, please call Sprinker Recreation Center at 253-798-4000. Day of event participant registration begins at 7 a.m. Dash plaques, goodie bags and lunch is included for the first 300 entries.
