Comedy in the Claw Event Features Local Funnymen and Almost Live Alumni

Brooks McBeth and John Keister descend on Enumclaw's Expo Center for a single night of comedy December 22.

Comedian and Renton native Brooks McBeth has got a nifty costume for Halloween this year. Check out the photo to the right.

If you guessed '50 Shades of Grey,' you got it!

Obviously he isn't one to pass on the ghoulish fun of Halloween, but these days, McBeth is busy preparing for what's shaping up to be a fantastic night of comedy right here in Enumclaw.

McBeth will be joined by fellow Almost Live alum John Keister, who was recently in town to help with the OktoBEERfest brewing contest, for one night of 'Comedy in the Claw.'

Why Enumclaw?

"I’m originally from Renton, but my family is from Enumclaw and Bonney Lake and Lake Tapps. (The Westons, Cashs, Wilson..etc)," he wrote to Patch.

"For the longest time I have been trying to get out to this area and bring a top notch comedy show to where my family is from. Well, I’ve finally been able to make it happen this December."

The Dec. 22 show at the Expo Center is one of three appearances McBeth will be making in the yuletide season.

McBeth, along with Keister and Pat Cashman will be promoting the new show '206' in Seattle, and he'll also be at the Auburn Avenue Theatre with Keister on Dec. 28.

"I just performed on the Late Late Show w/ Craig Ferguson, but honestly, I’m really just as excited about this show," he said. "I’m putting together a special set specifically for this homecoming show."

Advanced tickets are necessary, warns McBeth. This show will sell out.

I second that, Danielle! I saw him at The Local 907 in Renton last September and he was hilarious.
