East Pierce Firefighters Sponsor Three Free Easter Egg Hunts

The events, taking place in Sumner, South Prairie and Edgewood all take place on Saturday, March 30.

East Pierce firefighters will sponsor three annual Easter Egg Hunts on Saturday, March 30. All three events are free. Food and monetary donations will be collected for local food banks.

The firefighters recommend arriving early. “Once we say ‘Go!’ it’s over quickly,” said East Pierce Firefighter Heidi Rolfsness, who coordinates the Edgewood event.

Sumner
The 23rd annual Sumner Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the East Pierce Professional Firefighters Local 3520, will be held at Sunset Stadium, 1707 Main Street. Children, ages 1 to 3, will be allowed on the field at 9 a.m. followed by the 4 to 7 year olds at 10 a.m. and the 8 to 11 year olds at 11 a.m.

South Prairie
The East Pierce Volunteer Firefighters’ Association will sponsor the 56th annual South Prairie Easter Egg Hunt, starting at 10 a.m. at the South Prairie City Park, located at Third and Tacoma Streets.

Edgewood
The annual Edgewood Easter Egg Hunt, also sponsored by the East Pierce Professional Firefighters Local 3520, starts at 10 a.m. at Edgemont Park, located adjacent to Edgemont Junior High School at 24th Street East and 110th Avenue East. Parking is limited.
