Bonney Lake Police Department is partnering up with the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Center, other law enforcement agencies and hospitals to partake in Chief for a Day on August 16, 2012.
Chief for a Day is about celebrating the lives of children who have been diagnosed with a chronic or terminal illness. The mission is to help children and their families forget about the illness, if only for one day.
The BLPD is sponsoring Chief William Knight. Chief Knight is a 7 year old that was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot which is a rare condition caused by a combination of four heart defects that were present at birth. Not only will he participate on August 16 at WSCJTC but look for Chief Knight at Bonney Lake events!
