Fourth of July in Sumner and Bonney Lake: What's Open and Closed

Here's your guide to the fourth of July holiday on Thursday around town.

The Fourth of July is Thursday and observed as a federal holiday. Some area offices and agencies are also closed on Friday, July 5. Here's what you need to know to get around during the week.

If you are traveling, check out the Washington State Department of Transportation web pages to plan your route. (Here’s a link to the state’s mobile site.) Be sure to check for traffic, weather and construction updates along Interstate 90 at Snoqualmie Pass, U.S. 2 at Stevens Pass, Interstate 5 near the U.S./Canadian border and I-5 between Olympia and Tacoma. (If you’re traveling early this week, check the I-90 rock-blasting closure schedule.)
