With the kids getting a bit stir-crazy, get out of the house this week with these fun area events.

State Fair – SumNer Performing Arts Center

WHEN? March 12-27, show times vary

WHY GO?  ManeStage is quickly becoming the go-to for area family theatre.  Their current musical production is an adaptation of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Academy Award-winning musical about the American heartland. Family fun for all ages.

HOW MUCH?  $16 adults, $13 students/seniors and $10 children under age 10

Handsome Little Devils, Kent-Meridian Performing Arts Center

WHEN? March 12 at 3pm

WHY GO? Families and children of all ages will enjoy the eccentric world of the Handsome Little Devils.  Showcasing chainsaw juggling, whimsical props and costumes, and high-energy comedy act, their American Melodrama “Squirm Burpee Circus” is sure to delight all.

HOW MUCH? $18 general, $16 senior and $12 youth

 

Forests of the Northwest, Buckley Library

WHEN? March 12 at 1pm

WHY GO? Enjoy some family time discovering the history of our majestic forests.

HOW MUCH?  FREE

 

The Elephant Child, Ascension Theatre Productions, Sumner

WHEN?  Sunday, March 13 at 2:30, 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. at ATP Studio

WHY GO? Wear your green with pride and enjoy this local theatre’s production of Rudyard Kipling’s The Elephant Child. A highly fantasized Just-So-Story, this is the tale of how the elephant’s trunk became so long.

HOW MUCH? $2 seats

 

Sumner St Patrick’s Day Parade, Downtown Sumner

WHEN? Sunday, March 13 at 1 pm

WHY GO?  Local organizations, schools and service groups will proudly show off their St. Patrick’s Day spirit for this family friendly event.  Wear green and bring your group to Main Street early to grab a good seat.
