Adoptable Pet of the Week: Meet Angie and Sandy

Two new furry friends to add to your home.

Did you know that Metro gives current pet owners the opportunity to have their dog meet and greet another dog before bringing a new pet into the home? Consider a second dog as playmate or companion and test their compatibility.

Metro has a new phone system and the phone number has changed. Metro can now be reached at 253-299-7387 (PETS).

Meet Angie

Curious and sweet feline Angie was found as a stray on March 5. This cuddly and playful calico might be slow to warm up, but will be a fast friend. She has a desire to play and be around people and would make for a great lap pet. She can get a bit feisty, so might be a better fit for a family with older children, or ones who are cat-savvy. She knows how to work the camera and doesn’t shy away from the attention.

Meet Sandy

Shepherd-mix Sandy was brought in on March 1 as a stray dog. She is a calm and quiet medium-size dog who has shown some signs of obedience training. This eager and friendly 2-year-old would adapt well to a family environment with a fully fenced yard. Sandy is strong and does like to play so she may inadvertently knock over small children. She has shown that she gets along well with dogs, though would need to be the alpha in a multi-dog home.

If you are interested in adopting Angie or Sandy, or any of the other amazing pets at the animal shelter, please visit the shelter. Metro Animal Services is located in Puyallup’s South Hill area and open six days a week, Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Adoption fee is $99 and includes microchipping, spay or neuter, first vaccines and a one-year pet license for incorporated areas.
