Meet Baily and the Pound Puppies

Looking to take home a new pet this weekend? Look no further than Metro Animal Services.

currently has a high need for donations.  You can drop off cat litter, dry kitten or puppy food and cardboard cat carriers at their location during business hours.  Volunteer help and donations are greatly appreciated!

Metro has a new phone system and their phone number has changed.  Metro can now be reached at (253) 299-PETS.

Meet Baily

Six-year-old Baily was recently surrendered by her owner on April 28.  This larger gray & white feline is homesick and seeks the love and affection of an adult family.  She is a true cat, needing independence and a home to roam.  She would best fit into a home where she was a single family pet.

Puppies

Metro has recently received a trio of sisters, dubbed Cookie, Candy and Cupcake, who were found abandoned.  These three girls are only 9 weeks old and full of puppy playfulness, soft fluff, curiosity and nibbles.  Before you are charmed by their sweet looks and puppy breath, remember the time and efforts (and chewed shoes, and sofas, and books…) that will go into training and house breaking a puppy.  Assumed to be a Shepard-mix, these dogs are expected to grow into large, full size animals of at least 60lbs.  For any family prepared to take on the joy and challenges of raising a pup, these would an excellent family dog that would adapt into any situation.

Because animals must be 4-6 months to be fixed, any puppy (or kitten) adopted at Metro, requires an additional $50 deposit until proof of spay or neuter can be provided.  After the animal has completed the included surgery at a Metro provider, the $50 will be refunded.
