Meet Riley and Raja

This week features two great family-friendly pets that would love to find a home.

Metro Animal Services would like to express a great big “Thank You!” to all its donors and volunteers. Without your help, the Metro shelter would not be as successful as it has become.

Remember that Metro Services office hours may be effected by adverse weather.  Call ahead to the office on snowy days to confirm it is operating. They have a new phone system and their phone number has changed. Metro can now be reached at 253-299-7387 (PETS).

Meet RILEY

Affectionate and playful Riley has been a resident at Metro since Feb. 15. Found as a stray in Bonney Lake, he has shown to be a very likable, well-mannered dog. This Pit Bull-German Shepherd mix is even-tempered and great with other dogs. He is a good candidate for a family with children and other pets. Riley loves to play and would need some constant activity though this strong, happy boy is quick to settle and isn’t a jumper. Additional obedience training would be helpful as it seems he knows some basics.

meet RAJA

Beautiful orange tabby Raja was found as a stray on Feb. 14. This long-haired male is extremely friendly and looking to cuddle. He will instantly settle on your chest and nuzzle your neck. His combination of green eyes and orange fur make him a stunning sight. He has demonstrated a curious and gentle nature and is good with other cats. Because of his strong people interest and his want for affection, Raja is an ideal pet for families with children.

If you are interested in adopting Riley or Raja, or any of the other amazing pets at the animal shelter, please visit the shelter. Metro Animal Services is located in Puyallup’s South Hill area and open six days a week, Monday to Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Adoption fee is $99 and includes: microchipping, spay or neuter, first vaccines and a one-year pet license for incorporated areas.
