Pets of the Week: Meet Twinkle and Kenny

If you are looking for a new companion to celebrate the New Year and many more, then you just have to meet Kenny and Twinkle at Metro Animal Services.

Meet Twinkle:

Twinkle twinkle little star; what a beautiful kitty cat you are. Twinkle is quite appropriately named, as the sparkle in her eyes will melt your heart. If her lemon lime eyes don't get you, her attention grabbing meow definitely will.

Twinkle is a Domestic Short Hair Tabby with beautiful light grey and orange markings and was found as a stray near 5th St SE in Puyallup. She is a large cat or as others might say, rather voluptous. It appears she was loved and fed quite well from her previous owners.

She shows her attention through purrs of adoration and would be happy just sitting on her new owner's lap. She likes to be held and does very well around people. In fact, she likes to stick her paws out and gently "ask" for attention so come on down to the shelter and say hello to Twinkle.

Meet Kenny, the Little Benji of Puyallup

Kenny is an adorable four year old Cairn Terrier Mix who is 100 percent full of love and affection. His short wirey fur is a blend of tan and cream with black around the eyes, ears and mouth. In fact, it looks like he has a little mustache and if you get really close, he will tickle your nose with it.

Kenny has beautiful deep brown eyes and little short tail full of wiggles and wags. He is petite in size and would make a great lap dog. His plump round tummy is just right for rubbing as are his soft little ears.

Kenny became someone's newest member of the family and was quite happy until misfortune hit. The owner found out shortly after Kenny's adoption that she and her son were highly allergic to Kenny and with heavy hearts were forced to bring Kenny back to the shelter. Kenny has been quite sad since but is anxiously awaiting another chance to be someone's newest pet--perhaps even yours.

is located at 1200 39th Ave SE in Puyallup. Information about the shelter can be found by calling 253-299-7987 or online at www.metroanimalservices.org.
