The tree-lighting event on Saturday, Dec. 1, officially kicks off the holiday season in Bonney Lake and Sumner.

The free event at East Pierce Fire & Rescue featured refreshments such as cookies and hot cider and holiday music by the Bonney Lake Elementary Viking Choir. Bonney Lake Mayor Neil Johnson led the lighting of the tree.
