Sumner's Mystery Wine Walk Brings Community, Neighbors to Main Street

Wine lovers descended on Sumner's Main Street for the Downtown Association's Mystery Wine Walk on Saturday.

When it comes to wine, Sumner knows best with the much-anticipated Main Street wine walk events. This last Saturday's went off without a hitch, said Sumner Downtown Association executive director Laurie Miller.

Favorite wines included the Honeywood Rhubarb Wine served at the SDA office, Saracco Muscato D’Asti served at Sabrina’s Lunch in a Box and Barnard Griffen Orange Muscat, served at A Picket Fence.

Multicare promoted the during the Wine Walk by handing out bright pink beads to everyone in attendance. The Will Power Big Band gave three hours of musical enjoyment at Van Lierop Garden Market.

"It is always a pleasure meeting those individuals who support our organization, the merchants and the Sumner community," said Miller. "We received several email comments which included kudos to the Lions Club for their upbeat, cheerful and friendly disposition at the crosswalks – said they made the event all the more fun.  We also received some great suggestions for next year which will be implemented in time for our February 2013 Sweetheart Wine Walk."

Jennifer Johnson, Robert Hill and Glen Johnson all receieved passes to the Sweetheart Wine Walk this upcoming February.
