Ready to start your New Year's resolution to get fit early? Patch finds places to work out when it's cold outside.

With the wet and windy weather less than ideal for a morning run, here are some great indoor options to bust your winter workout rut.

Hot Yoga, Prime Fitness in Bonney Lake

For those looking to take their workouts in a different direction, the fresh hot yoga classes at Prime Fitness are currently on special. The regime can burn up to 1200 calories, comparable to a 5 to 9 mile run.  Hot yoga, known for its detoxification, stress reduction, increased flexibility and metal awareness, is practiced in a 103-degree room with 30-60 percent humidity. The hot Latin-inspired dance workout is sweeping the area. With several locations and twice daily workout times, there is bound to be a class for every schedule. The Sumner Parks & Recreation department offers a class program through a partnership with . You can sign up early, but drop-ins are also welcome. Classes ongoing. Boot Camp, The Body Studio in Sumner

This total body conditioning program is designed for all fitness levels. With athletic-based moves, participants move from station to station combining aerobic, cardio and strength training workouts. Classes ongoing. Punch cards available: 10 classes for $70

Bosu Fitness, sponsored by Sumner Parks & Recreation

Designed to improve your appearance, overall fitness and sports performance, Bosu Fitness is held at the Sumner Tae Kwon Do Acadamy. BOSU which stands for 'both sides utilized' fosters bilateral coordination and balance. Winter schedule starts Jan. 4. Purchase through Sumner Parks and Recreation and get a discounted second session when you purchase the first for $39 per monthly session, classes twice weekly.

Ice Angels Ice Skating, sponsored by Sumner Parks & Recreation

For those who've always wanted to try this traditional winter sport, this class, also arranged through Sumner Parks and Recreation is open to all ages as young as three, to adult. This beginners' class includes 30 minutes of free skating per 60 minute class. Winter session classes begin Jan. 8th. The class is $99 for six skate sessions and is held at the Tacoma Hockey Center.
