Tunes at Tapps Broadens Appeal with New Farmers-style Market

When this summer's Tunes at Tapps concert series starts July 10, spectators will no longer need to haul in their own picnic baskets and coolers. They can if they still want to, but the city of Bonney Lake has invited a variety of food and crafts vendors to take part in the first farmers market-style attraction in Bonney Lake.

The Courier-Herald reports the motivation behind the new feature is a combination of wanting to help stimulate the local economy while giving concert goers other options when they come to enjoy the local entertainment.

As reported, Papa Johns is among those who have shown interest.

David Wells, the special events coordinator for the city, shared on Monday that the city only sent out vendor applications last Wednesday and five groups have already signed up for booth space during the weekly events:

More vendors are expected.

The concert series begins July 10 with Spike & The Impalers. Danny Vernon, Sonic Funk Orchestra, The Beatniks, The Coats, Junction City, Folsom Prism and The Great Pretenders are all on the performance schedule as well that runs through August 28. Visit the city of Bonney Lake special events page for more information.
