Viewfinder: First Annual `Rhubarb Days' Celebrates Sumner's Roots
Sweets, contests, displays and live entertainment were the order of the day as the town paid tribute Saturday at Heritage Park to its beloved historic crop.
The inaugural "" celebraton featured day-long activities, including a scavenger hunt, pie-eating contest, commerical bake-off for Sumner restaurants and bakeries, carnival-style games, a display of antique tractors and live dance performances.
The event was put together by the and many local businesses. Patch was also on hand with representatives to greet the public and a photographer to capture the day's fun. Check out our photo gallery.
