Bonney Lake's Lyn McNees is February Featured Artist in Enumclaw Gallery

McNees' Another View is on exhibit at Enumclaw City Hall from Feb. 7 to March 5.

Bonney Lake artist Lyn McNees spent the last few years looking through the lens of her camera to find new ways of looking at the people, places and things around her. Lyn works deliberately to find the right technique to bring the highest quality to her images. The City of Enumclaw is pleased to present Lyn McNees’ latest pieces in her exhibit.

Artist Statement:

“I was struck by the shutter bug about four years ago. There were a number of people who “nudged” me along the way; my husband’s brother Jim, and our next door neighbor Gary who is a professional photographer.

The “eye” of the camera opened an incredible new world of creativity I had never experienced before.

I learned to see the world around me from multiple perspectives; color, composition, technical uses of a camera’s settings, and last but not least the photographs themselves.

Each photograph represents a moment in time, a memory that represents who I am and how I feel about this fantastic world we live in.

I am a member of the Rainer Hills Camera Club and my fellow Club members are my main inspiration to continue developing as a photographer and artist.

Gallery 2013 is located in the Council Chambers at Enumclaw City Hall. 1339 Griffin Ave. Enumclaw, WA 98022. Hours for the exhibition space are 9:30 a. m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Enumclaw City Hall is closed on national holidays. The gallery is closed to the public on Tuesday of each week for municipal court proceedings.

This is not the first time or the first person Quinn tried to hurt. I think she has a bitter andRead More evil heart. Instead of building and supporting the city, she prefers to tear down anything good and honorable. I'm so glad the voters saw fit to pass her by when she ran for election! With her attitude, it would have been detrimental to having a nice city to live in! Stuff a sock in it, Quinn!

I will never forget you David. We were connected through a tragic event that at times just feelsRead More like yesterday, and then you were taken from this earth by another tragic event. The 28 years inbetween went to fast. You were humble and down to earth. I feel as though you were surprised at how many people you touched in your 41 years. It was evidence at your service that you are loved by many, and you will never be forgotten.
