6th Annual Death By Chocolate

Mark your calendars for the March 31, 2012 and join the Bonney Lake Lions Club for their annual Death By Chocolate Dinner and Auction.

Six years ago the Bonney Lake Lions Club was introduced to the idea of a chocolate themed fundraiser. The idea? Who doesn’t love chocolate! A few members of the club got together, rounded up dessert donations, some entertainment and put on a spaghetti dinner with dessert auction. This auction helped fund the Lions programs, including vision and hearing care. It also helped provide some funds to help the Lions 4 Kids House, which was just getting started with its services to the community.

The event has grown to become a favorite among the loyal followers. Part of the appeal is the connection with the students from Bonney Lake High School. The Lions moved the event to the BLHS commons a few years ago. They work with the Culinary Arts team, directed by Kahale,
to provide the dinner. This is a cost effective way for the Lions to provide a great meal to attendees while supporting a fantastic program at the school. They work together with the new Leos club and the DECA club to run the logistics during the event.
