Rodgers and Hammerstein's State Fair

ManeStage Theatre Company is thrilled to continue its’ fourth season with the academy award winning musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein's State Fair!  State Fair is a classic musical comedy by the award winning team of Rodgers and Hammerstein (The Sound of Music, Oklahoma etc.) that will be performed by a talented cast of over 45 experienced artists! Starring Austen Case as Margy Frake, Paul F. Walk as Wayne Frake, Brian Redpath as Abel, Daisy Nau as Melissa, Heather Ruiz as Emily Arden and Mauro Bozzo as Pat Gilbert; this hilarious classic of an American heartland tradition is sure to delight audiences of all ages. 

State Fair will open March 12, 2011 at the Sumner Performing Arts Center located at 1707 Main Street, Sumner, Washington.  Performances are scheduled for Saturday, March 12 at 7pm, Sunday, March 13 at 2pm, and the following weekends on Friday, March 18 at 7pm, Saturday, March 19 at 7pm, Sunday, March 20 at 2pm, Friday, March 25 at 7pm, Saturday, March 26 at 2pm and 7pm and closes Sunday, March 27 at 2pm.

The show is directed and choreographed by ManeStage Theatre Company Executive Director Brenda S. Henson.  Assistant Director is Kathryn Stahl.  The costumers are Judy Brooks, Joelle Collins and Jodi Josephson and the music director and conductor is Lindsay Delmarter.  The cast and orchestra is comprised of over 65 local, seasoned, volunteer storytellers.
