Opening day of the was a huge success. Despite the heat, revelers didn't break character and showed off elaborate costumes, displayed their wares, battled swords and shared wits.
The Renaissance Faire runs weekends now through Aug. 18 at Kelley Farms. Camping is available on site and you can bring your own picnic and water into the fair. The event is family-friendly but there is a 21-and-up show in the Queen's Boudoir. will be there next weekend signing autographs, too.
