UPDATED: Bonney Lake Police Department Arrests Felon Featured on Washington’s Most Wanted

The Bonney Lake Police Department arrested Willard Steven Stewart Jr., 46, following a pursuit early Sunday evening.

Police sought Stewart for breaking a domestic violence protection order in Federal Way, committing another domestic violence crime in Sumner and a DUI in SeaTac, according to an article on the Washington’s Most Wanted website.

Stewart is described as a “high-violent offender” whose wrap sheet includes 10 previous felony convictions.

The Bonney Lake Police Department Tweeted just after 6:15 p.m. on Sunday that they’d apprehended Willard Stewart in a Walmart parking lot.

One officer received minor injuries during the pursuit and apprehension.

“Stewart is currently featured on Washington's Most Wanted. He is now being booked into the PC Jail. Officer being evaluated at hospital,” tweeted @BLPoliceDep.

The department updated at about 9:30 p.m. that the officer was seen by first responders and released at the scene and did not require transport to the hospital. Stewart was booked into Pierce County Jail.
