SDA Member of the Month: Ben DeGoede with Windmill Gardens

Ben DeGoede's dedication to the Sumner float and flower basket fundraisers have led the Sumner Downtown Association to select him as it's Member of the Month for July 2012.

For the last several years, Ben DeGoede of the , has taken the lead in the design and implementation of the Sumner Community Daffodil Float.

Not only has he contributed his time and creativity, he provided flowers and anything else needed to put the float together. Additionally, Ben has been a sponsor of our Flower Basket Fundraiser by putting together deeply discounted hanging baskets that SDA sells. Part of each sale goes back to SDA.

Not only has Ben been active with SDA, but he has also been a big supporter of the future Sumner YMCA.

The goal at Windmill Gardens is to make everyone's special day at the nursery a perfect one, whether it’s a stroll through the garden, eating at the , buying all your tea needs and hand made jewelry at the . Pond supplies at the Pond Store, visiting , a full Service Floral and gift shop, visiting for those personal enjoyments, whether it’s hair, nails, facials or a yummy massage. Now the best for last is shopping at Windmill Gardens, for plants and garden needs and wants at our full service and high quality Nursery.

SDA is proud to have a member like Windmill Gardens and deeply appreciates the time and effort as well as the contributions given by Ben DeGoede and his staff. This is why they have been selected SDA Member of the Month for July!.

Ben will be stepping back from his float leadership role this next year after heading up the project for the last 5 plus years. We deeply appreciate Ben and will miss his leadership in 2012.
