Share: Photos from Sumner's Sweetheart Wine Walk

The event, this past Saturday, Feb. 9, was themed "A Taste of Romance."

Valentine's Day may be coming up this Thursday but the Sumner Downtown Associaton got the revelry going early last Saturday with the 2013 Sweetheart Wine Walk.

Here are a few photos posted to the Association's Facebook page with further mention of several people and organizations that deserved recognition for their contributions to the success of the event by program manager and Patch blogger Laurie Miller:

Thanks to Columbia Bank for sponsoring this years Sweetheart Wine Walk. We continue to appreciate all you do for your local community.

Thanks to Heritage Bank for doing what they do best...helping to run the registration table. This is a hard job and very busy until the event ends. On behalf of SDA, we thank both this businesses in Sumner. Also, I wish to thank Ted Hackmann and his wife Jan for sticking with me this week and helping with all the "behind the scene" jobs - the jobs no one else wants to do. You are truly deserving of that Tim Hyland Award.

Thanks to the Lion's Club for pulling crossing guard duty once more and to Carolyn for assisting Jan with the Will Call Table. Special thanks to Pat who kept my spirits up and assisted with clean up at the end of the night.

And finally, thanks to the Holiday Inn Express and Suites for partnering with us in the Overnight Package Deal. I sure hope I haven't forgotten anyone. Just in case....THANKS EVERYONE!
