Audio Slide Show: Sumner Wine Walk

Even with bad weather people still showed up for a taste of wine at the Sumner Wine Walk.

A line of umbrellas filled Main Street in Sumner on Saturday, Feb. 11 for the Sumner Wine Walk.Β 

The Sumner Wine Walk included over 50 wines in 17 venues. And participants got a commemorative wine glass.

Vancie Daniels, who lives in Edgewood, has attended a couple of wine walks with her mother. She is trying to acquire the test for wine which keeps her coming back.

"It has always been a great community event to attend," Daniels said. "We always run into people we know and it is always fun to try new wines."

Naomi Zantello is from Spokane and did not know about the Wine Walk. However, she thought it was fantastic seeing everyone partake in the event.

"I think it really gives the local businesses a lot opportunity," she said. "It gives a community feel to the area and its just fun to get out and do something different."Β
