Intro to DSLR Photography

There is so much more to your DSLR camera to learn and understand. If you are up to learning your camera and understand it, then you have come to the right area.

Many people want to learn how to shoot DSLR photography. It is a way to artistically capture memories, family photos, a way to create art, and much more. So what does DSLR mean? DSLR stands for Digital Single Lens Reflex, meaning this camera uses one lens to shoot and view.

Say you bought a DSLR camera because you knew that it is the camera the “professionals” use, or because you wanted to take nicer photos. Then when you received your camera you turned the dial to AUTO, and snapped away. As you looked at your LCD screen to see the results of your new camera, you are not very impressed on what you see. A photo similar to your old camera, a little plain, maybe there is a little shazam to the photo, but it still doesn’t seem “professional.” This kind of photography is called point and shoot, this means the camera adjusts the sensor to the ideal lighting, focus, etc; don’t get me wrong this can be very useful even for professionals and hobbyists, but there is a time for that.
