Join Me in Olympia for Susan G. Komen for the Cure Advocacy Day on Tuesday!

Help tell our lawmakers to protect funding for the Washington Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program (BCCHP) on Susan G. Komen for the Cure Advocacy Day, Tuesday, 1/24!

From The Washington Affiliates of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and www.komenpugetsound.org:

On Tuesday, January 24, 2012, breast cancer survivors and advocates will join at the State Capitol in Olympia for the annual Susan G. Komen for the Cure Advocacy Day.  We will be meeting with lawmakers to tell them why the Washington Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program (BCCHP), a Puget Sound Affiliate grantee, is so important to thousands of women across the state.  Please join us virtually, by sending an email to your state legislators about this important program.

BCCHP provides early detection and screening services to nearly 20,000 low income, uninsured and underinsured women each year.  As the legislative session approaches, there are difficult budget decisions to be made, and we cannot take for granted that this program will be safe. We must make sure state leaders understand the importance of BCCHP.

Please send an email TODAY to lawmakers in support of this life-saving program.  Together, we can give the women of Washington a fighting chance.

PERSONAL NOTE FROM CJ:
As a survivor and volunteer with the Puget Sound Affiliate of Susan G. Komen®, I am personally meeting with our area representatives Cathy Dahlquist and Christoper Hurst, so please take a step in being active by participating virtually!
