ADVISORY: SR 410 Closures Begin Thursday

Bonney Lake residents might have noticed road closure signs along SR 410 that start the evening of Thurs., Jan. 10 and signify a morning commuter headache on Friday, Jan. 11.

Here's what we've learned about the closure, thanks to Bonney Lake City Administrator Don Morrison and Public Works director Dan Grigsby:

• SR 410 will be closed Thursday night, Jan. 10 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. while contractors do utility trench and conduit installation at the SR 410 and Main Street intersection. In approximately one week, depending on weather, this same closure will occur again to remove the metal plates and replacing them with an asphalt surface. 

• The SR 410 closures will be between Veterans Memorial Drive E (Sumner Buckley Highway) and 192nd Street (by Target and Applebee’s). Main Street will be closed from the Kindercare Day Care Center driveway to SR410.

• Traffic coming up the hill will be routed along Veterans Memorial Drive E. to 192nd St., where drivers can get back on SR 410. Sky Island residents will be allowed to go through the Wendy’s/Prime Fitness driveway and loop around to Sky Island Drive. 
• Traffic traveling from Eastown on SR 410 will be detoured at 192nd St. to Veterans Memorial Drive E. (the bypass route).
