  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Click here for a Google map that shows all site locations.
  • Why Go: Looking for that perfect Mother's Day outing this weekend? You probably won't be able to pick anything more Mom-friendly then Enumclaw's Art Studio Tours this weekend. There will be 10 studios throughout the plateau area participating in the event. Watch art demo after art demo or, just browse studio after studio for all the art and little knick-knacks. Either way, it's bound to be a great weekend for art on the Plateau! 
  • Pricing: Free. 


  • Where/When: Two sessions: 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sat, May 7 at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma.
  • Why Go: Here's the ultimate Mother's Day activity for all the crafty moms out there. Join Artist KéKé Cribbs as she leads a hands-on glass making experience. Participants will fabricating a unique 9 x 7-inch glass tile using an array of fusing techniques and materials. Cribbs will also discuss the science behind fusing and micro-mosaic.

  • Where/When: Doors open at 6 p.m., fights start at 7 p.m.  Sat, May 7 at Green River Community College.
  • Why Go: Looking to get a little more excitement out of your weekend? This Mixed Martial Arts event going on at GRCC this Saturday may be just what you need. Fight of the night is sure to be local favorite, Paul "Nutshot" Deveglio's title bout. And just like everyone who trains out of  in Enumclaw, Deveglio is a beast and well worth the price of admission. Not sure what to expect from a Mixed Martial Arts event? This highlight reel (Note: some scenes are graphic) should give you an idea.
  • Pricing: General Admission is $25 and Cage Side Admission is $35.

  • Where/When: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Sat, May 7 at the Mud Mountain Dam Recreation Area in Enumclaw.
  • Why Go: Last week's Mt. Rainier Duathlon was probably a stretch for any casual fitness enthusiasts out there. This week, the Mud Mountain Melee might be more your speed. It's an 8k trail run and 1.5 mile walk along the trails around the Mud Mountain Dam recreation area. The race is broken down into six age groups for men and women, with awards for the top three in each group.
  • Pricing: Pre-registration is closed. Day of race registration is $30 (Shirts are included). Some of the proceeds will help high school runners attend running camp in the summer. 

  • Where/When: 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at Christ Episcopal Parish Hall in Puyallup.
  • Why Go: It's a good ol' fashioned who-done-it murder mystery right down the road in Puyallup. This production is brought to life by 10 local actors from the Spotlight Players Theatre Troupe. They'll have you laughing at every turn as this murder goes from grave to hilarious. 
  • Pricing: $15 for general admission; $12 for seniors and kids 12 or younger.
