Get Out: Santa Parade, Pancake Feed with Firefighters, Tree Lighting

  • Where/When: 6 p.m. Saturday at .
  • Why Go: Join the Bonney Lake Kiwanis Club as it sponsors the city's annual tree lighting, food drive and   holiday parade. Activities include music, refreshments, candy and  pictures with Santa.
  • Cost: Free. Drop food donations off from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in front of the Food Bank, which is adjacent to the Public Safety Building and the Community Christmas Tree.

  • Where/When: 7 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday at .
  • Why Go: Come and enjoy pancakes and ham with your local firefighters -- and Santa!
  • Cost: $3 donation. Proceeds go toward the community members served by East Pierce Fire & Rescue.

  • Where/When: 2:30 p.m. Saturday in downtown Sumner.
  • Why Go: Join in on the holiday celebration with the parade starting in the Sumner High School parking lot and travel westbound along Main Street to Kincaid Avenue.
  • Cost: Free.

  • Where/When: 6-9 p.m. Friday at Enumclaw Music.
  • Why Go: Enumclaw local Uncle Phil Hansen has just completed his fourth studio album and his sixth instructional book.  In celebration, his daughter and manager, Marissa Woerner, has teamed with Enumclaw Music to host a CD/Book release party that includes refreshments   and door prizes along with a two-set performance by Uncle Phil and his performance group, Acoustic Couti.
  • Cost: Free.

  • Where/When: 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Black Diamond Community Center.
  • Why Go: Grab your friends and family and head out to help usher in the holiday season. Local musician Stan Terrell will lead caroling at 6:30 p.m. Santa arrives at the Community Center to light the tree at 7 p.m. Afterward, everyone is invited inside for refreshments and photo opps with Santa. Moms and dads, don't forget to bring your camera!
  • Cost: Free.
  • Where/When: 4:30-6 p.m. Saturday in downtown Enumclaw.
  • Why Go: Come kick off the holiday season with a parade along Cole Street between Washington and Monroe. Awards will be given to the Grinchiest float, best Cindy Lou-Who and best Who musical group. In addition, one float will be awarded the Cheer Meister Award.
  • Cost: Free.

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday at the W. W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory in Tacoma.
  • Why Go: Conservatory staff and volunteers dressed in beautiful Victorian costumes will answer questions, serve refreshments and take donations of socks, mittens and/or cash for the Tacoma Rescue Mission Family Shelter. Santa will be on hand to hear holiday wishes. A professional photographer will memorialize the visit with a 5x7-inch photo for $15. Kids can listen to children's stories throughout the day.
  • Cost: $5 suggested donation.

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday at the Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center.
  • Why Go: Kick of the holiday season by wandering among 70 exquisitely decorated trees. Each tree is trimmed with holiday presents, trips and other marvelous gifts. Enjoy special theme days and events, gift shops, photos with Santa, two elegant evenings of dining and entertainment, and the season's most exciting auction of trees and wreaths.
  • Cost: $6 for adults; $2 for students; kids under 12 are free.
