  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday at the Puyallup Fair Grounds. 
  • Why Go: The world’s largest pet and pet product expo. Expect over a thousand animals including dogs, cats, equine, birds, fish, llamas, pot bellied pigs, goats, rats, reptiles, rabbits, miniature horses and more are on display in stage shows, competitions and demonstrations. Thousands of pet products be will for sale at special show prices. Plenty of animal experts, pet adoptions, hands-on petting and learning opportunities abound -- everything you need to know for a happier, healthier pet.
  • Cost: General Admission: $12, Seniors: $10, Children 6 - 12: $6, Children 5 and younger: Free, Active Military (Valid ID): Free.

  • Where/When: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Fri, July 8 at .
  • Why Go: This weekend may be a little too warm to do anything inside, so grab a blanket, chair and picnic dinner and head over to Sumner's Heritage Park for Music Off Main. Elvis tribute artist Danny Vernon is set to entertain audiences of all ages this Friday. Danny's performance will showcase the King throughout the various stages of his career.
  • Cost: Free.

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sat, July 9 at .
  • Why Go: Celebrate Sumner's rhubarb pie heritage with this all day event on Main Street. The goal of Rhubarb Days is to celebrate all things pie; that includes a pie walk, pie eating contest, scavenger hunt, bake-off and plenty rhubarb games. Patch will be there too so stop by and say hi!
  • Cost: Free. All proceeds benefit the Sumner Downtown Associaton’s efforts to preserve and revitalize the downtown district.

  • Where/When: 7 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Sumner Performing Arts Center ().
  • Why Go: It's opening weekend for the ManeStage Theatre Company's latest production, Peter Pan. The beloved tale will be performed by a talented cast of over forty five experienced actors. The production also features a contemporary score that is sure to delight audiences of all ages. 
  • Cost: Tickets are $16 for adults, $13 for students, seniors and military and $10 for children 10 and under. 

Lake Tapps Swimming Beaches

  • Where/When: Daily at and Lake Tapps North Park.
  • Why Go: This weekend is shaping up to be a hot one. So what better way to cool off then at one of the local beaches on Lake Tapps. Swim safe though, neither or Lake Tapps North Park have lifegaurds on duty.
  • Cost: Free.
