  • Where/When: 3-7 p.m. Sat, Oct 1 in downtown Sumner.
  • Why Go: Join downtown Sumner for the 10th annual Autumn Evening in Sumner. Downtown shops will be open late for your shopping convenience and enjoyment. Stroll the street, lined with fall decorations and filled with live music. Scarecrows dance every half hour between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Cost: Free.
  • Where/When: 1 p.m. Sat, Oct 1 at the Powerhouse in Sumner.
  • Why Go: The White River Project, including Lake Tapps and the Powerplant, turns 100 years old this year. Come join the free community celebration by touring the Powerhouse, learning about the history of the White River Project, including Lake Tapps and the Powerhouse. Other activities will include live old time music by the band "1928", fun activities for kids, free picnic food, and Centennial birthday cake for all.

  • Where/When: 1-4 p.m. Sat, Oct 1 at .
  • Why Go: Bonney Lake – East Pierce Fire and Rescue will host its 18th annual Open House this Saturday. The free health and safety fair will include more than a dozen booths featuring representatives from East Pierce Fire and Rescue, Department of Natural Resources, the Bonney Lake Police and Pierce County Sheriff’s Department and others.
  • Cost: Free.

 

  • Where/When: 1 p.m. Sat, Oct 1 at .
  • Why Go: Bring the whole family for a fun-filled afternoon and be among the first to explore the new Bonney Lake Medical Building, at 10004 204th Ave. E. near the intersection of South Prairie Road East and Highway 410. Enjoy tours, refreshments and entertainment.
  • Cost: Free.

 

  • Where/When: 4-11 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. on Saturday at the Enumclaw Expo Center.
  • Why Go: Pull out those lederhosen and steins for the 3rd annual Enumclaw Oktoberfest. Don’t miss this community celebration of the Bavarian culture. Grab an authentic wurst, and enjoy the live entertainment including Bavarian dancers, singers and of course… lots of beer.
  • Cost: $15
