Photo Gallery: Community Remembers Young Powell Brothers

More than 1,400 gathered at Life Center Church in Tacoma for the funeral of Charlie, 7, and Braden, 5. The boys will be buried together in Puyallup.

Family, friends and community members heard stories Saturday about two young brothers and their favorite things.

“This moment is about two beautiful boys,” said Dean Curry, lead pastor at Life Center Church in Tacoma, The News Tribune reported. “How we got here is well known,” he said. “It’s not about the grown-ups today. It’s about the little ones.”

The service was to remember Charlie Powell, 7, and his brother, Braden, 5, who were , Josh Powell, Feb. 5 as they arrived for a visit with him at his home in Graham. Powell was a person of interest in the disappearance of his wife, Susan Powell, in Utah.
