Possible Snow Showers This Weekend

The National Weather Service is forecasting some snow showers on Friday and Saturday with little or no snow accumulation.

It looks like we're in store for another chilly weekend. The National Weather Service is predicting possible snow showers to hit across the Seattle and Tacoma area on Friday and Saturday.

While rain is forecasted throughout the weekend, experts aren't expecting any snow accumulations due to temperatures staying in the low 40s.

THE CURRENT FORECAST CALLS FOR A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS OVER THE LOWLANDS OF WESTERN WASHINGTON ON FRIDAY. ONLY SPOTTY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED WITH THE MAJORITY OF LOWLAND LOCATIONS REMAINING FREE OF ANY ACCUMULATIONS. WHERE SNOW ACCUMULATIONS DO OCCUR... SUNSHINE BETWEEN THE SHOWERS AND AIR TEMPERATURES WELL ABOVE FREEZING ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON WILL MELT MUCH OF WHAT ACCUMULATES.

Tonight: Showers. Low around 39. Breezy, with a southwest wind between 17 and 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Thursday: Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 44. Breezy, with a southwest wind between 17 and 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Thursday Night: Rain showers likely before 10pm, then rain and snow showers likely. Snow level 1300 feet lowering to 800 feet. Cloudy, with a low around 31. South wind between 9 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Friday: Rain and snow showers likely, becoming all rain after 10am. Snow level 1100 feet. Cloudy, with a high near 39. Calm wind becoming west northwest around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Friday Night: A chance of rain showers before 10pm, then a chance of rain and snow showers between 10pm and 4am, then a chance of snow showers after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Saturday: A chance of snow showers before 10am, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Snow level rising to 800 feet. Mostly sunny, with a high near 41. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 43.
