Puccini's Subs Makes a Quick Exit

A late night move out leaves the property manager and neighboring businesses wondering what happened.

Nestled in the friendly Bonney Lake Village Shopping Center, the quick exit by Puccini's Venetian Subs has made quite a stir.

For the past few years, Puccini Venetian Subs has been a destination place for many lunch-hour stops. The Merchant Circle review shows a 4.3 out of 5 star rating with more than 35 submissions. Considering the fact that many people only go online to rate a restaurant when they are dissatisfied, this seems pretty good. Further inspection of the reviews show that people considered the food good; complaints mentioned the marginal service and less-than-tidy conditions.

I noticed an evacuation notice on the door and found it difficult to find a neighboring employee who would allow me to quote them regarding the location's sudden disappearance. So, I continued onto my destination of . In speaking with an office employee (not wanting to be identified), I asked if she knew anything about the sub shop.  “The food was good,” said the employee, "but the other day, they were just closed and today I heard they moved out overnight and messed the place up."

A delivering UPS driver (who would also like to be unnamed) concurred, but said with an unpleasant look, "The food was great, but all of us drivers knew never to use the bathroom there."

I put in a call to property manager Daryl Reichstein, Rosen Properties, but with this being a legal matter, was unable to comment.

Clements Construction of Covington assisted with the clean-up. “We had quite a job cleaning up the mess they left behind,” said worker Brett Boyer. “They even took out the venting system and the refrigerator. I just finished fixing the floor. They really tore up the place.”

The work continues at the old Puccini’s location and hopefully we will get a new hot spot for lunch some time soon!
