Sumner Motorists: Expect Delays on SR 162 This Week
Pavement repair will close parts of SR 162 in Sumner through Thursday morning.
Pavement repair on State Route 162 in Sumner requires lane closures and a detour, according to a WSDOT press release. Drivers should expect delays of five to 10 minutes.
The detours will begin tonight, Aug. 9 at 10 p.m. and extend through tomorrow evening. WSDOT crews will close SR 162 between 74th St. and 96th St. and detours will take drivers to either 74th St. or 96th St., on to Riverside Dr. and back on to SR 162. The roadway will close at 10 p.m. on both workdays and reopen by 5 a.m. the following mornings.
The ramp from SR 162 to SR 410 will also close at 10 p.m. on Weds., Aug. 10 until 5 a.m. on Thurs., Aug. 11.
