Tiffany Anderson: A Vision Comes to Fruition

Every weekday we'll feature a brief chat with someone who lives, works, or plays in Bonney Lake or Sumner.

Lake Tapps resident Tiffany Anderson had the vision of starting a family business, so began All City Bucks. Tiffany works in the mortgage business, and along with her husband, wanted more out of life. With the unstable economy and a love for community, Tiffany's dreams of something more took an upward turn.

How did All City Bucks get started? I have six kids and a husband, and wanted to make a difference. I wanted to teach my children about working together and doing good. I knew it was not going to be easy, but Gunner and I have good kids who are great at helping.

But why a coupon book? It's not just a coupon book; it is also a website to go for coupons for local businesses. Everybody is going to the internet for information and we just wanted to make a way to promote our local businesses and help our community save some money at the same time. Advertising is expensive and it is tough for small local businesses to be able to afford it. This way, it targets the local community.

Tell me about your family. Our kids are ages 13 to 25 and have all helped in this business in some way. They all attend (or attended) Sumner/Bonney Lake schools and are good kids. My 20-year old is the one who did the logo. The kids help hang flyers, create on-line coupons, create grab bags for community events, be the Buddy Bucks mascot, gather information for the site… whatever needs done that they are able to do. My husband gets all the coupons print ready, gets them printed and assembles them himself.

Besides coupons, what else does All City Bucks offer? It gives information on monthly events in the community and highlights businesses through sponsorship advertising on the site.
