Trailblazers 4-H Horse Show Postponed Due to Equine Virus Outbreak

The event scheduled to take place at the Enumclaw Expo Center on Saturday, May 21 has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 2.

Local media has reported that several horse events across Washington State are being canceled as a precaution following news that there have been five confirmed cases of the Equine Herpes Virus (EHV-1) in the state.

This includes theΒ Trailblazers 4-H Horse Show, which was set to take place at the Enumclaw Expo Center today, May 21. According to the King County 4-H Horse Program website, the event has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 2.

The county website further indicates that state 4-H Director Pat BoyEs has instructed that all 4-H equine events be cancelled until June 11. This includes the Gaming and Performance shows planned for Memorial Day weekend.
