Weather Advisory: Possible Flooding in Pierce County Rivers Tomorrow, Wednesday

The National Weather Service has issued weather advisories concerning winter weather, wind, and flooding in Pierce County.

Don't forget to pack your umbrella and rain boots -- the National Weather Service announced Monday there is a high chance of rain and possible flooding tomorrow and Wednesday.

A winter weather advisory, in effect until 4 p.m. today, is for 3 to 6 inches of snow in the Cascades down to 2500 feet. The wind advisory will run from 7 p.m. this evening until noon tomorrow. South winds from 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph. These winds could break branches and topple shallow rooted trees and cause power outages. Heavy rain, especially Tuesday into Wednesday morning, could cause flooding along some of the Pierce County rivers.
