  • Why Go: March Madness is almost over and just like last week, your best bet to catch the final four locally this Saturday is at the BLT . They'll have both games up on the big screens, so all you need to do is grab some friends and get some food, drinks and enjoy the games!
  • Pricing: No cover.


  • Where/When: 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sat, April 2 at the .
  • Why Go: Love garage sale shopping, but hate driving from sale to sale following those cardboard "garage sale" signs? Your in luck, because the Lions 4 Kids House has organized a HUGE garage sale. This Saturday you'll only need to type on address into that GPS of yours, . Come and browse their wide selection of quality clothes, toys, books, appliances and all the nick-nacks you can handle. 
  • Cost: Admission is free. All proceeds benefit the "The Prom Project", an effort to help send high school seniors in financial need to their prom.

  • Why Go: Dealing with plant or garden drama? Don't give up just yet, visit Windmill Gardens and see if one of the WSU Pierce County Master Gardeners can help figure out what you need to do at this free weekly gardening clinic. Feel free to bring along plant samples to be identified  or diagnosed.

  • Where/When: Every Saturday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the corner of N 27th St & N Proctor St in Tacoma.
  • Why Go: Both the Plateau Saturday Market and the Puyallup Farmers Market are still in their off-season. If you want to buy local this weekend, the Proctors Farmers Market may be your best bet. They're sure to have all your favorite organic fruits and vegetables, fresh meats, freshly cut flowers, baked goods and much more.
  • Pricing: Admission is free.

 

  • Where/When: 5 p.m. Sat, April 2 at   in Steilacoom.
  • Why Go: You've probably heard of roller derby, but have you ever actually seen a match in person? Well here's your chance. The Dockyard Derby Dames are bringing their action-packed event to Pierce Community College this Saturday. Not quite sure roller derby is your thing? Here's a sneak peak to see what your in for.
  • Pricing: $12 in advance, or $15 at the door. Kids age five and under are free; 6 – 12 years old are $10. A portion of ticket sales benefit Pierce County AIDS Foundation.
