What's Open, Closed on Memorial Day

You can still ride the bus or buy some liquor, but don't even think about heading to school or the post office on this national holiday.

Memorial Day is Monday; here is a list of what is open and what government offices are closed.

If you're planning to travel, check out the Washington State Department of Transportation website to plan your route. Expect heavy traffic Monday, particularly along Interstate 90 across Snoqualmie Pass; U.S. 2 across Stevens Pass; Interstate 5 near the U.S./Canadian border; and I-5 between Olympia and Tacoma.

If you are looking for something patriotic to do in the Bonney Lake/Sumner area on Monday, consider attending the city’s of Sumner's 68th annual Memorial Day service.
