"Recent research shows that exercise can reduce the risk of certain subtypes of breast cancer up to 25%,” said Dr. Senecal, President of South Sound CARE Foundation. “Exercise has a tremendous role to play not only in reducing the risk for the occurrence of cancer, but it can also help reduce the side effects of different treatments."

About South Sound CARE Foundation
CARE stands for Cancer, Awareness, Research and Expansion and outlines the core tenets of the foundation, which was founded in 2008 by Dr. Frank Senecal and other community leaders to offer South Sound residents cancer treatment options that were otherwise unavailable.
