Derik Nelson Take Chances Tour

Bonney Lake and Sumner HS's wants to let the community know about a really cool performance coming up in two weeks at the SSD Performing Arts Center. The concert is called "Derik Nelson's Take Chances Tour." Derik Nelson is a singer/songwriter/producer and the lead guitarist on Glee!! (He's in almost all of the episodes playing guitar in the band.) His singing voice has been featured in many other hit TV shows like "Raising Hope," "New Girl," and "How I Met Your Mother" to name a few. He and his band are doing a northwest tour to help raise support and money for school music programs. They heard about our awesome music programs here in Sumner and decided to make a stop here! This concert is specifically a fundraiser for BLHS and SHS band and choir programs. But I see it as really benefiting us as a district by bringing community awareness to the importance of music in the schools. And how cool is it that someone from Glee is coming to perform here?!!
 
The show will be on Thursday 9/19 (yes...that's only two weeks away!) at the SSD PAC. It will start at 7:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m.  Tickets can be purchased from the BLHS bookkeeper or at the door.  Ticket prices are as follows:
 
$20 for tickets on the floor
$15 for tickets in the expandables
 
Tickets can be purchased at the door or at either of the main offices/bookkeepers at BLHS or SHS. Our goal is to sell out the entire PAC!!
