Learn about Energy-Efficient LED Lighting at Tehaleh

Puget Sound Energy and Philips Lighting are inviting local residents to learn more about ENERGY STAR® light emitting diode (LED) bulbs and see the award winning Philips L-Prize® LED bulb in person at Quadrant’s Tehaleh model home in Bonney Lake on Nov. 4.


In addition to seeing the L-Prize LED bulb, residents attending the Tehaleh model home event can get their lighting and energy efficiency questions answered by representatives from Philips Lighting and PSE. PSE electric customers who attend will received a $5 off L-Prize LED bulb coupon valid at participating Home Depot stores, after discounts from Philips and PSE the price of the bulb is $34.99.

Background:  LED bulbs use up to 80 percent less energy while producing the same quality and brightness of light that customers are used to getting from incandescent bulbs. ENERGY STAR-qualified LED bulbs have a lifespan of up to 25 and are dimmable, making them a great solution for kitchen and dining room lights.

Philips’ L-Prize winning, 60 watt replacement LED has been extensively tested by the U.S. Department of Energy and won the L-Prize as the first bulb to successfully meet all DOE requirements in extensive field and laboratory assessment, stress testing and a required lifetime of more than 25,000 hours. The bulb retails for $39.99 at Home Depot after a $10 instant discount from PSE, the bulb is $34.99 after the $5 coupon from the Quadrant model home event is applied.
