The Bonney Lake Police Department is once again teaming up with the Bonney Lake Target for “Shop with a Cop” on December 8, 2012. Donations are now being accepted at the Bonney Lake Police Department Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or you can mail the donation to 18421 Veterans Memorial Dr E in Bonney Lake.
“Shop with a Cop” is a program that, with the assistant of school counselors, chooses a number of under privileged kids who are in need of Christmas assistance. The children are teamed up with a police officer to purchase Christmas gifts for their family and themselves. These children normally would not have the finacial abilty to place gifts under the tree for their loved ones and some would wake up Christmas morning without any gifts for themselves.
This event would not happen without the generous support and donations from our community through citizens and businesses. Last year 22 children benefitted from this great program.

In order to make this year a success and help even more children, donations of money or Target gift cards are now being accepted at the Bonney Lake Police Department Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or by mail to 18421 Veterans Memorial Drive E, Bonney Lake, WA 98391. (The fundraising event scheduled for November 15th has been cancelled.)
