The Table

The Table is designed to give a voice for dialogue within the Sumner community, creates a platform of awareness and an extention of that conversation is to create a better, stronger, engaged community.

The Table is a policy and politic free zone where every voice and opinion has value and is safe.  We all agree to this so that dialogue can be open and frank because a difference can only be made if it is done with a good, solid, ernest and true voice.

I began The Table in June 2012 as a tool to do my job better as a Sumner Councilmember by understanding the needs and concerns of our community which stay silent.  The last thing on people's list is coming to a council meeting, standing before everyone and stating their address for the cameras.  I will come to you so it makes it easier for you to come to us.

Time is kept to one hour so that your commitment of time to your community away from your family is respected.  If you want to arrive ahead of time (doors open at 6:30pm) and linger after, you are welcome to do so and I will stay as long as you need me.

There is no need to RSVP but to make sure we set up enough tables and chairs and create enough table topics to go around (for the "round robin" part - kind of like a speed dating approach to topics), if you are thinking about attending, please drop me an e-mail.

This is not the first time or the first person Quinn tried to hurt. I think she has a bitter andRead More evil heart. Instead of building and supporting the city, she prefers to tear down anything good and honorable. I'm so glad the voters saw fit to pass her by when she ran for election! With her attitude, it would have been detrimental to having a nice city to live in! Stuff a sock in it, Quinn!
