All You Can Eat Crab and Oyster Stew Feed March 22

Invitation to the Puyallup Rotary All You Can Eat Crab and Oyster Stew Feed

Each year, thousands of school children (grade school to high school) experience bullying; many to the point of taking their own lives.  This simply is no longer acceptable and the Puyallup Rotary has decided to take action to prevent future tragedies like this.

In 2012, the Puyallup Rotary raised enough money to bring Challenge Day to the three Puyallup High Schools.  During this intense, day-long program, Adults as well as school administration worked with over 100 students at each school as we discussed bullying, encouraged others and motivated one another.  By days end, each school and student had the tools to work  with one another to ensure the school environment was safe and hopefully supportive. This program continues to be our goal as we help to mold those future community leaders of tomorrow.

This award-winning  program (Challenge Day )brings a cross section of students together for a day to break down barriers and build a strong community. School administrators report that the program creates a much-improved student culture, which leads to less bullying, less student violence, and a stronger more cohesive student group.

The Puyallup Rotary's major fundraiser, a Crab and Oyster Stew Feed, is coming up on March 22, 2013, at the Puyallup Fair Grounds. All proceeds from the event go toward Challenge Day. Tickets are $35 each ($50 at the door)  for all you can eat Dungeness crab, potato salad, coleslaw, rolls, clam chowder, oyster stew, potato soup, hotdogs and chips. Beer and wine are available for sale as well as a fun raffle and great music.

As a company, you can purchase a table which will be acknowledged through signage created specifically to your business and set where everyone will notice your support of this incredible and invaluable program.  What greater contribution can you give to your community and those who will lead that community down the road?

Please join us for a fun evening and a great cause. If you would like to purchase tickets, please contact  Laurie Miller, Executive Director of the Sumner Downtown Association and Puyallup Rotarian at 253-720-9846.  If you would like more information on the Puyallup Rotary Club visit www.puyalluprotary.org. For more information on Challenge Day, visit http://www.challengeday.org.

Thank you for your support of Puyallup Rotary and Challenge Day!

Respectfully,

The Puyallup Rotary

This is not the first time or the first person Quinn tried to hurt. I think she has a bitter andRead More evil heart. Instead of building and supporting the city, she prefers to tear down anything good and honorable. I'm so glad the voters saw fit to pass her by when she ran for election! With her attitude, it would have been detrimental to having a nice city to live in! Stuff a sock in it, Quinn!

I will never forget you David. We were connected through a tragic event that at times just feelsRead More like yesterday, and then you were taken from this earth by another tragic event. The 28 years inbetween went to fast. You were humble and down to earth. I feel as though you were surprised at how many people you touched in your 41 years. It was evidence at your service that you are loved by many, and you will never be forgotten.
